Ash Koosha – Ooh Uhh

ASH KOOSHA Ooh Uhh

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]O[/su_dropcap]nly a few days left before the release of the LP “I AKA I” by Ash Koosha on Ninja Tune. After “Mudafossil” and the more recent “Biutiful“, the Iranian producer just shared a third track off the LP: “Ooh Uhh”. As usual, Koosha processes and reprocesses sounds that he then pastes on a classical music background. “Ooh Uhh” is aquatic in a way but also hypnotic like the dance of some delicate small streams that would escape a mountaintop. A perfect track to welcome the Spring.

Elzhi – TWO 16’s

Elzhi TWO 16's

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]I[/su_dropcap]n 2011, Detroit’s MC Elzhi was releasing ‘Elmatic”, his own version of Nas‘ 1994’s classic debut album “Illmatic”. Since then, we didn’t hear that much from the artist who is also a former member of Slum Village. In January, he released a new single “coSIGN” and announced a new album “Lead Poison”, due to be released on March 25. Here is “Two 16’s”, the second single of the opus that was produced by Karriem Riggins.

M.I.A. shares 2 new tracks: MIA OLA and FOREIGN FRIEND [UPDATE]

MIA OLA

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]F[/su_dropcap]ollowing her politically charged track “Borders“, M.I.A keeps on being inspired by migratory movements and frontiers as she just released two new tracks called “MIA OLA” and “FOREIGN FRIEND” with this text going with it: “OLA TO ALL MY FLYPIRATES and DJS – THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT !!!! LIVE FROM THE MEXICAN BORDER OLA !!!! MIA ON THE WAVES.”

P.O.S – Sleepdrone/Superposition

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]I[/su_dropcap]t’s been three years that Minneapolis-based rapper Stefon Alexander, better known as P.O.S, did not release any music. Indeed, the one who notably founded the collective Doomtree had a successful kidney transplant two years ago and therefore, a long rest. Some days ago, he just resurfaced with “Sleepdrone/Superposition”, a gripping and amazing track (and video) that is longer than 8 minutes.

Rainbow Chan – Nest

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]W[/su_dropcap]ritten, sang and produced by Sydney-based but Honk-Kong-raised producer Rainbow Chan, “Nest” is not a normal song about post-love story. On a pop/R&B soundtrack, that sometimes pleasantly reminds us Solange‘s “Losing You”, the artist keeps on singing that it is not enough to make her lover feel good. But the song is not a sad song, the energy is positive and you almost want to dance on it.

Lindstrøm – Closing Shot

Lindstrøm Closing Shot

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]S[/su_dropcap]pring and summer are quickly coming and with their return, the festivals season is also approaching. Imagine yourself on a sunny plain, around a swimming pool or even on a beach, dancing with your fresh booze on the hand and the other one up in the sky. This is a powerful sample of what you will probably do this summer and all these moments are already concentrated in Lindstrøm‘s new amazing disco track “Closing Shot”. The perfect anthem for Summer 2016!

RY X – Only

RY X ONLY

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]R[/su_dropcap]y Cuming, that you probably know as RY X, is an Australian singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist that notably broke through the music scene with his amazing track “Berlin” already two years ago. His voice is emotional and intimate and when he sings he is like a ghost which speaks personally to you, even if the room where he plays is crowded. The artist is back with “Only”, a thrilling and soft track that was recorded live to tape LA’s Pulse Studio. The track was premiered on Annie Mac‘s Radio 1 show.

Ash Koosha – Biutiful

Ash Koosha Biutiful

[su_dropcap style=”simple”]I[/su_dropcap]ranian multi-instrumentalist Ashkan Kooshanejad, better known as Ash Koosha, will release his new album “I AKA I” via Ninja Tune on April 1. After the lead single “Mudafossil”, here is “Biutiful”, a spectral and volatile track that spreads beauty and emotions all over the place.
