Ellinor Sterner aka Bonander‘s sound is used as a way to challenge our own perception of patriachy and gender conformity. Her new track “Quit Everything and become a Princess” is another channel to fight against those rigid codes of our society.
Her strong and distinctive vocals swing between dark electronic pulses and catchy lyrics. Highly inspired by the big Kate Bush, she doesn’t hesitate on bringing current issues to her music, reminding everyone that music is politics. About the track, Bonander explained:
[su_quote]I often feel trapped in how I behave and act in life because of my gender and I know I’m not the only one.[/su_quote]
