“Cha-Cha-Cha” is taken from Bonnie Banane‘s debut album, Sexy Planet, out on Péché Mignon – Grand Musique Management.
One of our favourite albums of 2020, Bonnie Banane‘s Sexy Planet impressed us with its combination of sultry atmospheres, surreal theatricality, and sun-kissed grooves. These three ingredients are all found in “Cha-Cha-Cha,” a highlight of the record that just got a visual treatment, courtesy of director Raphaël Stora. Slipping into the shoes of a gypsy dancer, Bonnie performs a cha cha choreography in front of a man, stuck on a chair. Dancing to exorcise an irrepressible anger, her moves balance between grace and belligerence. Watch below.
