Cape Weather‘s new track, “Falling Asleep,” is out on Anxiety Blanket Records.
Los Angeles-based duo Cape Weather, which comprises Natalie Smith and Eric Jackowitz, has a new EP on the way. Although we don’t much about the project so far, we have already heard a couple of singles, “Keep A Secret” and “Try Harder,” and we love the direction. Like the previous offerings, the gorgeous “Falling Asleep” boasts on nostalgic and carefree arrangements, which gives the track a comforting aura despite its bittersweet, melancholic lyrics.
“‘Falling Asleep’ explores the weight we put on social interactions that we view from a distance,” they explained. “We wanted the sound of the song to feel like a classic score fusing both modern and traditional instruments.”
Arnaud, a passionate music enthusiast from France, now based in Madrid, founded HighClouds in 2015. With an ear for the dreamy, the ethereal, and the unconventional, he thrives on discovering and sharing boundary-pushing sounds.
