We don’t even know what to add anymore to keep the excitement up since we are already on top of screaming, crying, dancing at the same time. After sharing “Calm Down” that features Four Tet and Floating Points, “Honey” that features Kaytranada and “Who Am I” that features Craig David and Major Lazer, Katy B just shared “I Wanna Be” featuring Chris Lorenzo, another amazing electro-pop track that will hit the clubs hard.
Singing about her expectations in a relationship and how she would like to abandon herself into it, Katy B is touching our sensitive spot with still a touch of dancefloor vibes so we are able to dance until the world ends. Never singing “I wanna be in your arms, I wanna be where my dreams transpire” has ever been this delightful (besides when we are dancing over “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn). The energy is dense but still eerie, her voice is sweet and full of hope. The perfect combination to create a pop song.
Her forthcoming album “Honey” is due to be released on April 29 via Rinse/Virgin EMI.
