“Hysterical Us” is taken from Magdalena Bay‘s debut album, Mercurial World, out this Friday on Luminelle.
In a few days, Los Angeles pop duo Magdalena Bay will finally share their long awaited debut album but before that, they just unveiled another single and video. “Hysterical Us” sees Mica Tenenbaum and Matthew Lewin opt for a delightful funky sound, one that sounds both lounge-y and playful. On a more serious note, the lyrics deal with “anxieties, paranoias and existential musings.” Hysterical Us” also comes with a psychedelic, super colorful video, which was made in New Orleans, with the MILAGROS collective and director Ian Clontz.
