Trip hop is having a moment, and Neggy Gemmy is here for it. The 90s moody genre is sneaking back into the spotlight thanks to alt pop artists like Addison Rae and more underground acts like a.s.o. (try their excellent 2023 album). Now, Neggy Gemmy adds her name to the revival with “Blue Eye See Through,” the latest taster taken from her upcoming fourth album, She Comes from Nowhere. With its skittering beat, turntable scratches, and warped layers, the track ventures into unexpected territory for Lindsey Elise French. “Blue Eye See Through” follows earlier tracks “Mysterious Girl” and “Polly Pocket,” all part of the same album era.
