This week, our newcomer is the young and promising New-York based artist Ahsh Eff, who entered the rap game with an incredible track “Storefront.” Produced by Mess Kid and Stelios Phili, the track is an original banger where Ahsh Eff delivers her amazing flow!
Her name is to be pronounced as “Ah-Sh Eff ” and not “Ash”. We still don’t know how to pronounce that, but it is not the only time we were speechless about her since her first track is one of the most exciting songs we have heard in a while. It all started a few years ago when Ahsh Eff shared her song “So Amazing” in 2013 showing her great talent to the world. Taken as source soul, 2000’s rap and strong female rappers such as Missy Elliott, she shows that she doesn’t need a fancy video to be impressive, but just herself and her music.
Arriving with a slightly old-school track reminding the verve of a young Lil’ Kim back in the days, Ahsh Eff shows her talent in a 2min50 new track called “Storefront”. How such a short song can contain so many influences ? The production is flawless coming from Le1f and Boyslashfriend producer Mess Kid and Donmonique, A$ap Berg collaborator Stelios Phili.[soundcloud url=”https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/239685277″ params=”auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false&visual=true” width=”100%” height=”450″ iframe=”true” /]
This track is going to remind every fan of the genre what they used to love in old rap, thanks to a straight-forward and punchy verse and neat production. “Rapped up, Tryna get my rap up”, she raps, and the song is about “getting it how you live under any circumstance.” she told to The Fader and you can hear all that trough her song.
We are waiting a lot of Ahsh Eff‘s bright future career as she is going to release more tracks soon and let’s hope we are not going to wait a whole new year for her to release something. To follow her, you can go ver Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
