Rina Sawayama tries to find her own path in “Alterlife”

London-based artist Rina Sawayama has shared her obsession with the complicated co-existence between our digital and real lives. In new track “Alterlife”, she explores our desires to become someone we are not.

Mixing R&B vibes, 90s rock with sleek pop vocals, the artist will pursue her quest for truth in a world where everyone seems to pretend they have a life that doesn’t exist. As the b-side of her single “Cyber Stockholm Syndrome“, Rina Sawayama is positioning herself as definitely one of the artists to watch during this year. About the track, she stated:

“Alterlife” is about finding yourself through trying to become other people. Everyone tries to conform to what other people think but part of growing up is being able to create your own path.
