With every single they’ve dropped over the past year, snuggle has been quietly hinting that something bigger was on the horizon. Now, the Copenhagen duo, Andrea Thuesen (Baby In Vain) and Vilhelm Strange (Liss), have confirmed it: their debut full-length, Goodbyehouse, is officially on the way via Danish label Escho.
Written during a time of personal and emotional upheaval, Goodbyehouse explores the bittersweet territory between youth and adulthood, the excitement of stepping into the unknown mixed with the ache of leaving something safe behind. “You don’t really know what awaits on the other side, so you are a bit excited. But it’s also scary and melancholic,” Thuesen says. Across the record, snuggle blend their love for loose, experimental jamming with moments of vivid storytelling and painterly nostalgia.

Alongside the album news, snuggle have shared their latest single, “Playthings,” a track they describe as “a fever dream, starting with triangle and ghost sounds. It’s about the strange comfort of going in circles with someone.” True to that description, the sinuous song weaves humor and dread into a hazy, R&B-tinged atmosphere, accompanied by a video that mirrors its surreal, looping mood.
snuggle will also bring Goodbyehouse to life on stage this fall, with a run of EU and UK dates alongside Horse Vision and Mew. Full dates below.
