2 years ago, Canadian rapper Tommy Genesis broke the internet with the first part of a trigoly of her “World Vision” album. She is now back with single “Empty” as lead single for the second part.
Newly signed on Downtown/Interscope Records, the artist is ready to take it a step further. While her aesthestics uses the same code: sweet girl with a crop top and sweet curly hair, her tone gets more assertive, breaking all of the codes of the male-dominated rap genre. The new track “Empty” produced by newcomer Angst is her strongest track yet, where you can see her rapid evolution towards a darker version of herself.
As the track shows a new side of her character, we can’t wait to listen to what’s coming next. The remaining two parts of the trilogy should be out soon enough, so this is not the last time you’ll be hearing from Tommy Genesis.
You can follow her over Facebook, Twitter and Soundcloud.
