Matt Bullard aka url (pronounced ‘Earl’) is your new favorite sad boi. At least, these are the words the Orlando-based bedroom producer and singer is using to pitch his music. Yet, his brand new offering, “honey,” is not what we would normally label as a tear-jerker. Sure, there are glimpses of melancholia in this track that navigates unrequited love, but the spacey and colorful arrangements could actually announce the summer. Somewhere between Neon Indian, Toro Y Moi, Tame Impala or Ginger Root, this is another track to add to your “songs to dance your sadness away at the swimming pool” playlist.
