New York-based artist Yaeji shares a video for her single “Raingurl”, one of our Thunderclaps of this year taken from her sophomore EP rightfully titled “EP2”.
Directed by Enayet Kabir and herself, you can follow the producer having fun with her friends while they are all wearing white clothes from head to toe. The video makes you dance even more (like it was possible) and makes you wonder: what does it take to be part of her squad to go dance with them? About the video, Yaeji stated:
It’s two alternating attitudes: inner dialogue vs outer attitude. You have all these thoughts and insecurities and then you go to the club and feel the same thing; you’re dancing around other people but you’re also thinking by yourself.
