Montreal singer-songwriter Helena Deland is readying the release of her long-awaited debut album, a project matured over a period of two years exploring gender, power, time and the “self”. The fourth advance single to be unveiled is the mesmeric and strangely bewitching “Pale”. “‘Pale’ is about the little space left to the actual self in romantic relationships where idealization comes into play,” she explained.
