Murmur‘s new EP, Behind Your Back, is out now.
Although Murmur is an electronic project hailing from Oslo, it came to life after a night at the infamous Berghain night club in Berlin. The visceral, raw techno that resonates in the German institution is definitely palpable in her 3-track new EP, Behind Your Back, which is described as “a release dissecting modern romance”. Drawing from the glitch of SASSY 009, the ethereal dance of Otha and the haunting avant-pop incantations of Jenny Hval, Murmur crafts what she fairly calls “party music for the slightly gloomy”, exploring the darkest and most uncanny side of bedroom pop.
