Ten years ago, SOPHIE, the late legendary producer whose influence continues to ripple through electronic music released PRODUCT. Blending metallic gloss, emotional intensity, and fearless experimentation, the bold, genre-defying collection of singles helped redefine pop for a new generation. In true SOPHIE fashion, the original album didn’t just come as a standard release, it arrived with a twist: a special edition that included a custom-designed silicon sex toy, merging art, identity, and design in a way only she could.
Now, a decade later, PRODUCT is back, this time with a deluxe edition celebrating its 10th anniversary. Out on vinyl and CD on July 11 (and digitally today via Numbers), the reissue includes two never-before-heard tracks: “OOH” and “GET HIGHER,” both created during the original PRODUCT era.
“OOH,” once known as “Make Respect,” was first performed live by SOPHIE at Sónar Festival in 2011 and completed in 2019 with vocals from X Factor contestant Jaide Green. “GET HIGHER,” featuring Cassie Davis and Sean Mullins, had previously only been available on the Japanese CD edition of the album. This new version also brings visual treats as vinyl buyers will get slide posters featuring artwork for each track.
