Eden Samara’s “The Local” is a festive ode to friendship

Eden Samara‘s new single, “The Local”, is taken from her upcoming debut album, to be released on Local Action.

A few weeks ago, Eden Samara dropped “Madonna“, a liberating anthem that made it into our Best Tracks of 2022 playlist. The Canadian-born, London-based artist is now unveiling “The Local”, another taster off her yet-to-be-detailed debut album. Described as an ode to friendship, the party-ready track was produced alongside some of her best pals: Shanti Celeste, Ryan Pierre, and Peach.

“The Local was a bar in my neighbourhood back in Toronto, when producer Ryan Pierre lived down the street from me,” she stated. “The song captures the feeling of a summer night romance, but it’s also a love letter to the friendships I carry with me from home, as well as new ones made after moving to London. Shanti [Celeste] and Serena [Peach] were some of the first friends who welcomed us after moving to the UK, so it felt like a celebration of that to have them co-produce this track.”
