Montreal-based singer-songwriter Helena Deland unveiled another installment in her Altogether Unaccompanied series last week, featuring “Silver and Gold” and “Bigger Pieces.”
Deland wrote in her newsletter that both songs have been with her for some time and noted that this latest release turns the series into an open-ended place for her to share songs that have not made it on to albums.
The two tracks take listeners down a relaxing path guided by Deland’s angelic voice, with Francis Ledoux, Alexandre Larin, and Cedric Martel accompanying.
“To me it evokes both captivation and a state of remembering, or drifting off,” writes Deland.
