Discodelic band Say She She details sophomore album, shares “Astral Plane”

“Astral Plane” is taken from Say She She‘s new album Silver, out September 29 via Karma Chief Records.

Sabrina Cunningham‘s classically trained vocals, Nya Gazelle Brown‘s whistle tones, and Piya Malik‘s smooth and funky voice give birth to enchanting harmonies in Silver, the upcoming sophomore album by the discodelic band Say She She. The organic project was entirely written and recorded live to tape, under the supervision of producer Sergio Rios of Orgone, encapsulating the nostalgic fever of the Studio 54 era, but also exploring political and spiritual themes, delving into what it means to be a modern femme. The album will feature previously released singles “Forget Me Not,” “NORMA,” and “C’est Si Bon.”

Alongside the announcement, Say She She also shared the aptly described “cosmic ride” that is “Astral Plane.” “Climb aboard the dream line and buckle up for a fantasy-facing cosmic ride. With stellar stargazing harmonies, the Say She She sirens will send you soaring on coloratura riffs to a celestial celebration where you’ll meet your dream lover on an astral plane.” Listen to this enticing tour-de-force of funk below.
