Mitski – Your Best American Girl (video)
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]M[/su_dropcap]itski finally released a video for “Your Best American Girl“, the massive lead single of “Puberty 2“, her upcoming album due to be released via Dead Oceans on June 17. It was directed by the famous filmmaker Zia Anger, who already worked with alternative artists such as Angel Olsen, Julianna Barwick, and Jenny Hval. The video relates a love triangle which unfortunately turns not to be in favour of the artist.
Julianna Barwick – Same (feat. Mas Ysa)
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]C[/su_dropcap]all her an elf or a sylvan angel! Brooklyn-based musician Julianna Barwick recently released a new track off her upcoming third LP “Will”, that will be out on May 6 via Dead Oceans. This new single, “Same”, which features the artist Mas Ysa, is a harmonious and delicate chord progression that, for sure, won’t let you unmoved.
Angel Katz – Bitch Boo Boo (feat. Angelenah)
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap]ngel Katz was a folk singer-songwriter who played guitar and ukulele since the age of 13. And then… She decided to start to rap just for the fun 5 years ago. Today, she is a hybrid artist, the kind of ones that you have difficulties to label with a specific genre. And this is obviously what we do like: a space cowgirl with a flow from Mars who dances on a saloon’s bar with fluorescent hair . Some days ago, she posted the Netherfriends-produced track “Bitch Boo Boo” on Soundcloud. The song, which features her friend and rapper Angelenah, is funny and addictive but actually deals with deep and serious topics such as bullying and depression.
EP ALERT: Charlotte&Magon – Power In
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]P[/su_dropcap]aris-based duo Charlotte&Magon released their new “Power In EP” some days ago. We think that you should give it a try as this is a pleasant way to welcome the warm and sunny days. The 4-track piece of easy listening music is the perfect blend of indie pop, psyche vibes, positivity and infectious choruses. “Aliens” will catch you in a second! And as good news never come alone, they also released a video clip for “What If The World” and took some time to answer some of our questions!
Anna Wise – Precious Possession
[su_dropcap style=”simple”]A[/su_dropcap]nna Wise, who sings that she wants “to be a princess”, has started a solo career in parallel to Sonnymoon and it feels really good to hear what she has to propose. After the amazing “BitchSlut“, here is the Emma Kanter-directed video for “Precious Possession”. She also announced the release of her upcoming debut EP will be available at the end of the month.
